My Time's My Own

Vic's Retirement Site

Something of Myself

This page is included to reassure you that this website is run by a genuine retiree, not a charitable organisation or, God help us, a Government Department charged with keeping us Old Codgers under control.

My name is Vic Wright. I was born within the sound of Bow Bells, but have lived in the West Country for the past 30 years or so.

I've been married to Margaret for 45 years and have two married daughters, four grandchildren, two cats, two tortoises and a pondful of fish, frogs, toads and newts - they just keep breeding.

I don't consider that I ever had a 'Career' - just a series of interesting jobs.
Since I left the Army (Royal Signals) I've been involved in software development, project management, offshore navigation and survey, the defence industry and engineering consultancy.

I retired in September 2001.
